Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind artwork that will add a unique touch to your collection? Look no further than an original hand-painting by Joey (the artist of Akumu Ink)!

Originally planning to following the same look of my other Nightmare in Wonderland paintings, this painting ultimately chose its own direction. The surface developed an unexpected, almost stained-glass quality that was fragmented, weathered, and alive in its imperfections.

Rather than continuing to layer paint and refine the forms, I made the deliberate decision to stop. Further polishing would have diminished the raw energy of the piece. The drips, abrasions, and unfinished areas are not incidental; they are essential to the work’s character, allowing the figures to exist somewhere between presence and decay.

Though distinct from the rest of the series, this piece reflects my ongoing willingness to experiment. To let instinct override expectation and allow the painting to become what it wants to be.
